Isn't it amazing how life has become ever so complicated? All this background "noise" keeps us from focusing on the really important things.
At a basic level we are a combination of the physical ( our body), the mental ( our knowledge or experience ), the emotional and the spiritual ( even if you do not believe in a higher power).
These four dimensions guide how we respond to the world. Only we can change ourselves, and this change requires an effort on all the parts that make "us".
In order for us to be healthy we need to constantly balance all of our parts. This makes up what is commonly called "lifestyle"; and at at an even simpler level is all about choices!
Every choice we make has an effect on all of our basic parts. We CAN choose to be healthy. Sadly our society has grown accustomed to immediate gratification! We don't care about a life full of wrong choices, we just want it fixed now!
When we make this choice we are doomed! The path to health involves daily, seemingly small but deliberate choices.The reward will be noticed over a long period of time, but because they are so subtle they are relatively painless and will hopefully become permanent.
For this 2017, place you attention on just 3 to 5 small steps you can make to improve your diet, your activity level, your emotional state and yes - your spiritual life.
